KATY – A man killed his wife and 7-year-old son in a murder-suicide in Katy, according to HCSO.

Deputies found a 43-year-old woman and a 7-year-old boy shot to death inside an apartment on Park Row Drive and Westborough Drive.

A 42-year-old man was flown to the hospital via LifeFlight but died at the hospital.

Their identities had not been released.

Investigators recovered a gun at the scene.

According to family members, the man had been depressed because of unemployment issues.
