UNION COUNTY, S.C. —

South Carolina Highway Patrol says one person is dead and another injured after a UTV accident Saturday.

Troopers say it happened around 1 a.m. Saturday. They say two people were riding a 2023 Kawasaki UTV on Neal Shoals Road. They then say that when they tried to turn left on Happy Valley Road, the UTV overturned.

Troopers say the two people were taken to the hospital, where one later died from their injuries.

The coroner has not released the name of the person who died.
