PHOENIX — A man was killed and two other people were hurt in an apartment complex shooting early Saturday morning in Phoenix, authorities said.

Officers arrived to the complex near 40th and Colter streets around 4:30 a.m., where a man who had been shot was found on the ground. He was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.

Another victim was hospitalized with a gunshot wound, and it wasn’t expected to threaten his life.

A third person suffering from a “minor injury possibly caused by gunfire” was treated at the complex by firefighters.

Any suspects involved left before police arrived, authorities said.

Detectives are investigating what led up to the incident.
