A cluster of strong and severe storms will likely impact central Alabama this afternoon through 6 p.m. Damaging winds up to 60 to 70 mph, large hail up to quarters, frequent lightning and heavy rainfall will be possible.
The tornado threat is very low in this setup, but not zero. Have multiple ways to receive warnings this afternoon and again tonight.
