GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — At least six people were arrested by ICE agents this week in Grand Rapids at a place immigrant rights groups are calling unexpected.

The arrests happened outside of an Intensive Supervision Appearance Program Center, or ISAP.

It's a place for people with various immigration statuses to check in with agents while waiting for asylum hearings.

But some were arrested at their meetings Wednesday, which some local groups call a break in government trust.
