The state Department of Environmental Conservation has issued at air quality alert until midnight for the entire GLOW region due to the affects of smoke from wildfires in Canada.
Genesee, Livingston, Orleans and Wyoming counties are under an air quality health advisory for fine particulates. The advisory also includes Niagara, northern and southern Erie, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, Allegany, Monroe, Ontario, Wayne, northern Cayuga, Oswego, Jefferson, and Lewis counties.
