OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) - A 37-year-old man from Ocala is dead after being hit by a sedan while riding his bicycle Saturday morning.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol troopers, the 27-year-old man was riding his bike westbound on SR 25 just before 2 a.m.

A 34-year-old woman from Fruitland Park was traveling west on SR 25 when she struck the rear of the bicyclist.

FHP troopers say the 37-year-old man died at the scene.

The driver was arrested for DUI manslaughter.
