MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Grizzlies center Zach Edey could miss the start of the 2025-2026 season as he recovers from ankle surgery, according to reports.

Edey re-sprained his left ankle in an offseason workout this week and is set to undergo surgery to re-stabilize the ankle.

As a result of the surgery, Edey could miss the beginning of the 2025-2026 NBA season.

As a rookie, Edey earned first-team All-Rookie honors after playing in 66 games. In that time, he averaged 9.2 points per game, 8.3 rebounds per game and 1.3 blocks per game.
