ROCK ISLAND, Ill. (KWQC) - The Quad Cities Pride Festival returned to Schwiebert Riverfront Park and is bigger than ever.

The festival brings the community together to celebrate pride.

Live music and performers will take the stage, along with vendors and food for guests to enjoy.

Natasha Hoening, the Iowa state leader for Free Mom Hugs, said that spreading love and support is much needed now.

“Just showing up and giving hugs and love and spreading that to everywhere you can,” Hoening said. “So that’s why I’m here and that’s why I travel all across Iowa and it’s just exciting.”

The event goes from 4-11:30 p.m. on Friday and from noon to 11:30 p.m. on Saturday.
