OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- Thousands of people are expected to visit Greek Festival 2025 at the St. Dionysios Greek Orthodox Church this weekend.

Almost all of the 150 church members volunteered at the event. They spent over a year preparing for the festival.

Some people waited all year to taste the delicious food at the Greek Orthodox Festival, and they were willing to stand in line for it.

The recipes come from generations of Greek grandmothers. Several dishes represented their own communities within the country.

They expect to serve about 15,000 people this weekend. All of the food was completely homemade and featured well-known Greek dishes, including 45 pans of baklava.
