EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - The passenger that was critically injured in a Daviess County, Indiana crash has died, according to the Marion County Coroner.
According to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office, 65-year-old Thomas Wirts of Washington, Indiana died from his injuries that he got in the accident on June 1 .
Deputies say he passed away on Wednesday.
Authorities say 60-year-old David Love, from Francisco, was originally charged with driving while intoxicated.
Deputies say he was crossing Highway 50 and pulled into the path of another car.
The Sheriff’s Office says Wirts was thrown from the vehicle.
Deputies say Love’s blood alcohol level was over twice the legal limit.
The driver of the other car was treated for minor injuries.
