What is it about Louisa May Alcott’s “Little Women” that is a comfort any time, every time? Anyone who’s read the 1868 classic identify as one or another of Meg, Jo, Beth or Amy March, sisters who come of age in a time of war, poverty and loss.
A musical by Allan Knee gives the novel the Broadway treatment, but closer to home, a full-length classical ballet returns for an encore presentation June 21 and 22, at the historic Pasadena Playhouse. Ahh, if there is any time we need this sensory feast of a story, this is it.
