LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Michigan State University is set to kick off its tenth "Music and the Garden" series this Sunday, June 8.

The MSU College of Music and Beal Botanical Garden says the family-friendly event "invites listeners to experience MSU’s gardens in a new light."

The events will take place in the Beal Botanical Garden on Sundays throughout the summer, with activities starting at 1:00 p.m. and concerts at 2:00 p.m.

Music and the Garden series dates: • June 8 • June 29 • July 13 • August 10

The Red Cedar Quartet, a group of doctoral students at Michigan State University, will perform in the garden to begin the series.

Organizers recommend that attendees bring a lawn chair or blanket.
