LARGO, Fla. – A quiet Largo neighborhood was shattered Friday after a welfare check led deputies to discover a double homicide, with the victims identified as 53-year-old Elizabeth Lee Kirchner and 64-year-old Steven Eric Kirchner.
Their son, Nicholas Steven Kirchner, 37, has been arrested in Georgia and is facing two counts of First-Degree Murder Premeditated.
The tragic discovery unfolded on Friday, June 6, 2025, at approximately 12:35 p.m. Deputies from the Patrol Operations Bureau responded to 29 Saunders Avenue after a concerned caller requested a welfare check for an employee who failed to report for work. Upon entering the home, deputies found Elizabeth and Steven Kirchner deceased in their living room, both suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
