GARY — Two young men have completed their training for the Roman Catholic priesthood, while another is one year away from that spiritual milestone.

Bishop Robert J. McClory ordained Alexander Kouris, 28, and Ivan Alatorre, 26, as priests to serve the Diocese of Gary. During the liturgical celebration Saturday at the Cathedral of the Holy Angels, seminarian William O’Donnell, 25, was ordained to the transitional diaconate in anticipation of his priestly ordination next year.

“I feel excited and a great joy,” said Kouris. “I know this is a gift, not mine, but a gift from God so I can serve him.”

“It feels awesome and peaceful,” O’Donnell added.

“I feel blessed,” noted Alatorre.
