EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) -- Three people were rescued from the Rio Grande on Saturday afternoon, June 7 in Doña Ana County, according to the County's Public Safety Facebook page.
Doña Ana Fire Rescue assisted getting three people out of the Rio Grande. Crews were dispatched just before noon. All three people were pulled out of the water and no injuries were reported.
The social media post did not specify where on the river the incident happened.
The Mesilla Fire Department and Las Cruces Fire also assisted on the call. "As we head into summer, please remember to be cautious around open water. Conditions can change quickly — always prioritize safety," Dona Ana County said in its Facebook post.
