WASHINGTON COUNTY, Oregon — At least 10 were displaced after an early morning Saturday two-alarm fire in the Bethany area of Washington County.

At 3:28 a.m., multiple people called 911 after waking up to fire alarms and seeing flames coming out of a multi-family housing complex in the 18400 block of Northwest Chemeketa Lane. As residents began to evacuate, dispatchers upgraded the call for more resources.

Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue (TVF&R) firefighters arrived to heavy fire on the apartment’s exterior and quickly began to work to extinguish the blaze, which had extended into the building. Hillsboro Fire & Rescue helped pull three attack lines, with additional crews searching the apartment units and confirming that all residents had evacuated.
