A firebug is sought for setting two vehicles and a garage ablaze in the city’s west end Thursday morning.
Toronto Police say officers responded to the first of two arson fires in the area of Shaw St. and Yarmouth Rd. – southeast of Ossington Ave. and Dupont St. – around 4 a.m. and found a vehicle burning.
“No one was in the vehicle at the time,” Const. Laurie McCann said in a statement released Saturday.
She said a man was “seen loitering in the area” but he had fled by the time officers arrived on the scene.
Two hours later, around 6 a.m., McCann said officers responded to a second fire in a detached garage in the same area.
“Both the garage and the vehicle were on fire,” she said, adding nobody was in that vehicle either.
