Toronto Police are searching for a 30-year-old man in connection with a violent retail robbery that occurred downtown. The incident took place near Queen St. W. and Beverley St., just east of Spadina Ave., shortly after 6 p.m. on Friday.
According to police, the suspect entered a store, selected multiple items, and attempted to leave without paying. Constable Viktor Sarudi stated that during his escape, the man assaulted a staff member, resulting in serious injuries. After the attack, the suspect fled the scene.
Investigators have since identified the suspect as Liam Nisbet, a resident of Toronto. He is wanted for robbery and assault causing bodily harm. Nisbet is described as 5-foot-7, weighing approximately 140 pounds, with a thin build and brown hair.
At the time of the incident, he was reportedly wearing white shoes, grey pants, a light grey or blue shirt, a dark-colored hooded jacket, a grey baseball cap, and sunglasses. He was also carrying a black satchel bag.
