LEON COUNTY, Texas (KBTX) - A woman was booked by the Leon County Sheriff’s Office amid a mail theft investigation.

The US Postal Inspection Service told KBTX it is aware of the recovery of mail from the home of Stephanie Maddux.

Maddux was arrested on May 29. She bonded out the next day.

The mail theft investigation was turned over to the US Postal Service Police.

As the evidence is processed, the US Postal Inspection Service said customers will be notified.
