WCIACENTRAL ILLINOIS (WCIA) - Saturday was the final day of the season for IHSA girls' soccer, along with 1A and 2A baseball and softball.
Some local teams played for state titles, including LeRoy softball. The Panthers lost 10-0 to Carrollton in the 1A state championship.
Other teams sought to avenge Friday semifinal losses.
Pawnee baseball, in 1A, beat Lexington 9-4 in to finish third in the state.
Casey-Westfield softball beat Dakota 10-0 to win third place in 1A softball in Peoria.
Poplar Grove-North Boone beat Auburn 1-0 in the 2A softball third place game.
On the pitch, Springfield girls' soccer beat LaGrange Park-Nazareth Academy 4-0 in the 2A third place game.
