Back in mid-May, a post on social media caught the attention of many, including Tony Brown, the owner of U.P. Tire.
That post showed a picture of tires that were illegally dumped in a remote part of Kinross Township, down a two-track off Wilson Road.
Brown knew he had to step up and take the initiative to get it cleaned up.
With the help of Sav's Garage, Kinross Township Firefighters, the Michigan DNR, and a few other volunteers, Brown rounded up his work crew from U.P. Tire to tackle the mosquito-infested area where the tires were dumped.
What could have been a long evening of battling the mosquitoes, instead resulted in a quick clean-up.
