Man shot, killed at his 21st birthday party in Kent

A 21-year-old man was shot and killed at his birthday party early Saturday in Kent, police said.

The Federal Way man was shot after an argument and fight at a home in the 25000 block of 22nd Avenue South around 12:30 a.m., Kent police said in a post on social media.

The argument was over uninvited guests at the party. The man was shot outside the home, retreated inside and collapsed. Party attendees took him to a Federal Way hospital, where he later died.

The suspect fled the scene immediately after the shooting, police said. Detectives were investigating the shooting.
