KENTUCKY (WEVV) — Kentucky residents can expect a slight relief at the gas pump starting July 1.
Gov. Andy Beshear announced that the state gas tax will decrease by 1.4 cents per gallon.
"I'm happy to share some good news for Kentuckians," Beshear said. "That's less money at the pump, and more money for the things families need like rent and groceries."
Beshear expressed hope that the reduction will provide some financial relief to families across the state.
"I know every penny counts, and I hope this will help make a difference," Beshear said.
