EMMAUS — Despite allowing four unanswered goals to close the third quarter Saturday, defending PIAA Class 2A boys lacrosse champion Marple Newtown quickly resumed control in the fourth quarter and cruised to a 17-6 quarterfinal round victory over Scranton Prep at Emmaus High.
Marple Newtown moves on to the semifinals, where it will face District 3’s Lampeter-Strasburg.
“We were two different teams,” Scranton Prep head coach Keith Toolan said. “I’m proud of the kids. They never quit.”
