COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — Three Columbus officers went to hospitals after two police cruisers crashed Saturday morning while responding to a call.
According to a crash report, the crash happened just before 2:30 a.m. in the area of Sullivant Avenue and South Hague Avenue.
Video from a nearby gas station showed one of the cruisers going southbound on South Hague Avenue. The report said the cruiser "failed to yield to the light" at the intersection, slid through, and was struck by the other cruiser that was heading westbound on Sullivant Avenue through the intersection.
The impact caused the southbound cruiser to collide with a cinderblock wall on the south side of Sullivant Avenue, while the westbound cruiser spun and ran through a cinderblock wall and roadway sign, the report said.
