How Fin Ewing became a name synonymous with Texas junior golf

Fin Ewing might not be a name you’re immediately familiar with, but in Texas, its a name synonymous with golf.

Each summer, when thousands of juniors tee it up in tournaments hosted by the Northern Texas PGA, they compete on a tour sponsored by Ewing’s company. And while that may not seem significant at first, just know that the Ewing Automotive NTPGA Junior Tour is the place where some of the best Texans on the PGA Tour — think Scottie Scheffler and Jordan Spieth — got their starts.

“What you’ve done with the North[ern] Texas PGA, sponsoring that junior golf tour, has just been incredible,” Colt Knost said on this week’s episode of GOLF’s Subpar. “You’ve done more for the game than pretty much anybody I know.”
