A Fairbanks jury convicted a man of murder, assault and weapons misconduct Friday afternoon following a six-day trial.

Matthew Lee Myers, 45, was found guilty of three counts of felony second-degree murder — one of which was a lesser-included charge from felony first-degree murder — one count of felony second-degree weapons misconduct, four counts of felony third-degree assault, and misdemeanor reckless endangerment in the fatal shooting of 29-year-old Rolando Khaleel Pressley on the afternoon of May 6, 2022, on Cushman Street. The jury acquitted Myers on one count of felony second-degree weapons misconduct. The jury deliberated for more than nine hours Thursday and Friday.

Superior Court Judge Brent Bennett will sentence Myers at the Rabinowitz Courthouse in Fairbanks on Sept. 29.
