FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WBAY) - A 13-year-old boy was injured after crashing into a van while riding a bicycle in Fond du Lac on Friday.

Just before 4:30 p.m. on Friday, the Fond du Lac Police Department and Fond du Lac Fire Rescue responded to a report of a crash involving a car and a bicycle at the intersection of East Pioneer Road and Martin Avenue.

Police say a preliminary investigation shows that a 13-year-old boy from Fond du Lac was riding his bicycle on the sidewalk, going west, when the light for north/southbound vehicles turned green. As a delivery van driver entered the intersection, the bicyclist collided with the front passenger side of the van.
