PITTSBURGH -- Henry Davis delivered another key home run against the Phillies Saturday, this time a go-ahead shot in the seventh to help propel the Pirates to a 2-1 win at PNC Park.
On Friday, Davis came off the bench to deliver a game-tying homer in the fourth inning. Getting the start Saturday, Davis’ second home run of the series was a late blast off a Ranger Suárez changeup that landed in the visitors’ bullpen in left-center field..
It was Davis’ fourth home run of the season, and his two-hit afternoon continues what has been a very successful couple of weeks for the Pirates’ catcher. Over his last 12 games, Davis has hit .297 (11-for-37) with a .595 slugging percentage and three home runs.
