CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - Saturday evening, the Tybee Island Police Department shared they have received reports of a crash on Highway 80 between Bull River and Lazaretto Creek.

Tybee Police said that while this crash is outside of their jurisdiction, it has having significant impacts on traffic traveling both to and from the island.

Emergency personnel are working to clear the area as quickly and safely as possible.

“In the meantime, we appreciate your patience and understanding,” wrote the police department in a social media post.

Chatham County Emergency Management also reported all lanes on Highway 80 at Fort Pulaski Road are currently closed due to a crash.
