EXETER TWP. — The Easton High fans weren’t thrilled with what they were watching Saturday, and who could blame them? Their previously undefeated Red Rovers were on the receiving end of a lacrosse lesson courtesy of Springfield in the PIAA Class 3A quarterfinals.

This is a familiar tune: a team from central or northern Pennsylvania steamrolls local competition all spring, builds up a gaudy record, and then runs headfirst into a Delco lacrosse buzzsaw. In this case, it was Springfield doing the slicing.

The Cougars’ speed and swagger may have rubbed some in red the wrong way, but nothing they did was out of line … unless you’re counting the goal line.
