WEST GOSHEN – At times in the first half Saturday afternoon, Will Trymbiski might as well have been in his backyard.
He and fellow La Salle attackman Jackson Trymbiski were connecting passes like the have since they were in the third grade. There were more people in attendance, certainly, and the defenders weren’t imaginary like in the brothers’ old backyard games. But the connection and results might well have been the same.
The attackmen combined for 13 points as La Salle outclassed Ridley, 19-3, in their PIAA Class 3A quarterfinal game at West Chester East.
La Salle (18-5) advances to take on District 1 champ Springfield in Tuesday’s semifinal. The loss brings an end to a tremendous season from Ridley (18-7), playing in states for the first time since 2011.
