SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Saturday was a day of reunion for the families of more than 180 airmen with the 114th Fighter Wing of the South Dakota Air National Guard.

The airmen have recently completed deployments to locations across the US Central, Southern, and Pacific commands from July of last year to April.

For Ryan and Jessica Bak, the last year and a half has been a whirlwind of deployments for both of them, being deployed at different times away from each other.

But they’re back home now, reunited with their family.

“It’s been kind of a crazy year and a half, but I think overall it’s been a good experience for us, and in a lot of ways made our family stronger because you really appreciate everyone’s individual roles that they have in the family,” Jessica expressed.
