DERIDDER, La. (KPLC) - The War Memorial Civic Center is making sure the men and women who served our country have more ways to connect with the community.

The additional health resources included over 30 different round tables providing health awareness, suicide prevention tips and ways to connect with other veterans.

“Benefits and services that they are not aware that they are eligible for. So many vendors here offer programs specifically for veterans and they are able to go even a step further than normal than what other organizations can do,” said Faith Scott, Director of War Memorial Civic Center.

Scott said this is the first year they are providing a round-up for veterans.
