PUEBLO, Colo. (KKTV) - The Pueblo County coroner is investigating how a man died at Lake Pueblo State Park on Saturday.
According to Colorado Parks and Wildlife, a group of people were swimming and skiing in Rock Creek Cove at the time. CPW said one man jumped into the water, reportedly because he was hot, and was found by the group, floating unconscious.
Officials said a nearby boater helped pull the man into a boat. They began CPR and called 911.
Rangers with CPW got there within six minutes after getting the call a little after 2 p.m., according to a press release. CPW said one ranger jumped into the boat and took over CPR. A Flight for Life helicopter was called and reportedly landed at the park and the boat was driven to the North Boat Ramp, but rangers said the man was already dea
