Smokey Skies Return + Some Storm Chances

We're tracking on and off showers and a few thunderstorms for the remainder of the weekend across Rochester and Southern Minnesota. A weak cold front passing through the region will trigger scattered showers and storms, especially Sunday morning into midday, mainly affecting areas northeast of Rochester. While severe weather is not expected, some locally heavier downpours are possible. By Monday, the upper-level low will be crossing the Upper Mississippi River Valley, bringing widespread, but mostly light, showers throughout the day, particularly in the north and east. Drier days midweek, before more rain chances later next. While some uncertainty remains in the details, models are indicating a shortwave trough disrupting the upper-level ridge and bringing potential showers and storms Wedn
