WEST GOSHEN — In her long, distinguished coaching career, Amy Orcutt has guided a bunch of Conestoga girls’ lacrosse teams to deep postseason runs. But after Saturday’s 12-7 win over District 12 powerhouse Archbishop Carroll in a PIAA Class 3A quarterfinal clash, Orcut admitted that this 2025 foray is probably the most unlikely of them all.

“We were fired up and ready to go from the start,” Orcutt said. “I am very, very proud because I don’t think anyone expected this.”

The Pioneers (19-6 overall) executed the game plan perfectly, which belies the youth of the ’25 squad. For instance, sophomore Bianca Antonacci and freshman Price Orcutt wound up combining to score seven goals and added a couple assists.
