HAMLER, Ohio — Elmwood took advantage of Evergreen errors for an 8-1 Division VI baseball regional championship game victory Saturday at Patrick Henry High School.

The Royals scored twice in the first with the initial run occurring on an error following a double steal by Zackery Gross and Ryken Zeigler with Gross scoring. Zeigler then got knocked in on a Colton Bradford base hit.

Elmwood added three more runs in the second. Cadyn Stewart used a bunt single to score Nico Allen. Two other runners reached home when Stewart and Aidan Marsh scored on an outfield error off of Gross’ sacrifice fly.

In the fourth inning, Gross’ single knocked in Marsh. Zeigler and Bradford sacrifice flies plated Stewart and Gross, respectively.
