ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) — Mimi's Lounge in Elmira hosted their third annual benefit on Saturday for the Elmira Animal Shelter. The fundraiser included food trucks, live music, and different raffles to support the shelter.

All of the money raised from the event will go to the Elmira Animal Shelter's Capital Building Fund. That money is set to be used for building improvements.

Organizers said they understand if people can't give a lot, but any donation helps. They also said the fundraiser is a great event for people to come together and support a good cause.

"We just like to continue doing this. It's a great community event, and we have a lot of fun doing it," said event coordinator Joe Martino. "So, we're happy that folks enjoy it and come out and support the shelter."
