NEW HAVEN, Conn. — An interim president has been selected to lead Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven .

Connecticut State Colleges and Universities Chancellor Terrance Cheng and the Connecticut Board of Regents for Higher Education announced Friday that Dr. Sandra Minor Bulmer, Ph.D., will begin serving in the role July 1.

Bulmer has extensive experience in the higher education field and has worked at Southern for 26 years. She is currently employed as dean of the university’s College of Health and Human Services.

Bulmer has additional experience as a professor in Southern’s Department of Public Health. Cheng described Bulmer’s resume as nothing short of impressive in a CSCU release.
