SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) -- Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) is giving the public an opportunity to enter its terminal without an airline boarding pass -- for one night in June.

This morning, the Salt Lake City Department of Airports officially extended a public invitation to see "The New SLC" without an airline ticket. The open house event, officially deemed "Passport to SLC," will occur on Saturday, June 28th at 5 P.M.

"The New SLC" refers to the millions of dollars of renovations that has gone into the airport over the last decade.

The event is said to give the public a chance "to spend an evening exploring the shops and restaurants while taking in the evening summer glow at the airport."

Registration opens on June 13th at 8 A.M. The deadline to RSVP is June 23rd.
