SALEM, Indiana — Torrential downpours in southern Indiana drowned out some roadways and forced multiple water rescues on Friday.
The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning for parts of southern Indiana, which expired at 10 p.m.
Roughly six inches of rain as storms moved through Kentuckiana.
The Washington County Sheriff's Office shared video of Water Street in Salem completely submerged in rushing floodwaters.
"Turn around, don’t drown!" Sheriff Brent Miller warned in a Facebook post.
