RUSTON, La. (KNOE) - It’s a sweet milestone in Ruston as the Louisiana Peach Festival marks its 75th year, drawing thousands downtown to celebrate the city’s signature fruit.
Families, food lovers and music fans filled the streets Saturday, enjoying everything from peach cobbler and ice cream to a sunset drone light show over Railroad Park.
“This is my first year at the Peach Festival,” said Miss Louisiana. “Being from Ruston, I’m very excited. Peaches are so important to our area.”
The festival kicked off with the annual “Run for the Peaches” 5K and continued with live music from over a dozen bands, hands-on art in the Kids Alley and the bustling curated Peach Market.
