MILWAUKIE, Ore. (KATU) — On May 30, Clackamas County conducted a sting operation involving sex buyers and sellers as part of the Our Rescue ’s "Coast to Coast Operation."

The Clackamas County Human Trafficking Multi-disciplinary Team helped with the nationwide effort, which involved 157 police agencies across 19 states, aiming to share intelligence, identify trafficking victims, and arrest traffickers.

The operation was hosted by the Milwaukie Police Department, with assistance from the West Linn and Wilsonville Police Departments.

Decoy officers and deputies used various online sites and applications to contact both purchasers and sellers of sex, providing a location in the Milwaukie area for the exchange.
