ST PAUL, Minn. — Another round of wildfire smoke is anticipated to reach the Twin Cities and beyond Sunday.

The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) has issued an air quality alert for all of Minnesota starting Saturday at 11 p.m. through Sunday at 11 p.m.

Wildfires have forced thousands to flee their homes in Manitoba and Saskatchewan, the Associated Press reports. Canada’s wildfire season runs from May through September. Smoke has reached as far as Europe.

MPCA says that fine particle levels are expected to reach the orange air quality index category, "a level considered unhealthy for sensitive groups."
