HOT SPRINGS, Ark. — For former students of Hot Springs High School, Saturday was a special day.

They were able to take a trip down memory lane, walking the halls they once filled for the very last time.

"It's a little bit sad, but it's really exciting too," Class of '88 student Rebecca Peterman said.

"Bittersweet" is what Peterman and other former students said came to mind for students who walked through the school's doors.

They spent the day remembering legacies that ran deep.

"I'm three generations, Class of '67. My husband was Class of '87. I was Class of '80. My kids were Class of 2014 and 2018. My sister was '93 and my brother was 2000," Peterman said.

Margie Arnold Perkins said that she is a part of the very first graduating class of Hot Springs, Class of '69. She stated that
