COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – Hundreds gathered in Coeur d’Alene this morning to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation, participating in a walk at Riverstone Park.
This marked the first time the event was held in North Idaho. Organizers aimed to raise $68,000 and announced they surpassed their goal. The funds will help grant wishes for children facing critical illnesses.
“I am a cancer survivor. I went through non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2010, about 15 years ago. Not as a kid like the kids who get their wishes granted, but I could relate to how tough it was to go through that experience as an adult,” Jason Hover, a participant in the walk, said.
