PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A body that appeared to have been in the Willamette River for some time was recovered Saturday afternoon by a person at Cathedral Park, the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office confirmed.
The body was pulled onto the swimming dock around 1:45 p.m. A death investigation is underway along with trying to determine who the person was.
No further information is available.
A number of bodies have been recovered in the Willamette River within the past month or so. As the temperatures keep rising, officials said, there will likely be more bodies recovered in area waters.
