(WJW) - A cancer survivor is celebrating his third massive lottery win within less than a year, according to the Western Canada Lottery Corporation.
Lottery officials said David Serkin, of Lethbridge in Alberta, first won $500,000 back in August during a LOTTO MAX drawing. He then won $1 million in November during a LOTTO 6/49 drawing.
Serkin is taking home another major prize after purchasing a LOTTO 6/49 from the Shell gas station on Fairway Plaza Road S. in Lethbridge last month, lottery officials said.
“I bought this ticket while I was buying gas,” he said in a press release. “I saw the Gold Ball draw was getting close [to the final ball selection] and thought, ‘What do I have to lose?’”
